Alejandro E. Moreno


Alejandro E. Moreno concentrates his practice on shareholder derivative actions and mergers and acquisitions class actions. At the firm, Mr. Moreno has contributed to teams that have successfully represented clients in a broad range of matters. For example, Mr. Moreno has supported a team that succeeded in obtaining a court order forcing a recalcitrant Delaware corporation to hold a long overdue annual stockholders meeting. He has also worked on dispositive motion work for derivative federal securities fraud actions.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Moreno worked for two global law firms and gained valuable experience in corporate and transactional litigation and legal writing. He helped represent multinational corporations in a broad range of legal matters including defending a national telecommunications company in a patent infringement suit, and briefing a large corporate bankruptcy client on employment law issues.

Mr. Moreno earned his Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School where he was honored as a Section Seven Finalist in the Best Brief 2005 Ames Moot Court Competition and was a member of the Lincoln Inn’s Society and Harvard Latin American Law Society. He simultaneously studied at University of Cambridge, King’s College, and earned his Master of Law degree in Commercial Law. Mr. Moreno is a magna cum laude graduate from the University of California Santa Barbara, where he served on the Legislative Council of Associated Students.
