Scott F. Templeton is a member of the new matters practice group and the whistleblower team. Drawing on his engineering background, Mr. Templeton has been instrumental in assisting shareholders pursue technology-related claims against wrongdoers.
Mr. Templeton focuses his practice on evaluating and initiating shareholder rights actions on behalf of investor clients and whistleblower actions on behalf of individuals interested in exposing fraudulent activity against government entities Mr. Templeton has extensive experience drafting complaints, motions, settlement documents, and other pleadings in the prosecution of complex civil litigation in shareholder rights actions addressing fiduciary misconduct, stock option backdating, insider trading, and other unlawful activities impacting investors. In his support of the firm’s whistleblower practice, Mr. Templeton has managed cases from inception to resolution.
Mr. Templeton earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, and he studied International Intellectual Property Law and International Negotiations at the British Institute of Florence in Florence, Italy. Mr. Templeton graduated from the University of California at San Diego with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Circuit Design.
